Tyler Perry

Everyone knows Tyler Perry. I seen the few movies that he has directed such as Madea, I know I’ve been changed, and I can do bad all by myself, and I think this great theatrical piece can be both art and entertainment. So what do you guys think of the films made by Tyler Perry movies?
Tyler Perry is a very creative intelligent man. I think his movies are touching, inspiring, yet funny ass heck! He films about having faith, perseverance, and are from his own life experience and knowledge which makes it even better. Nothing is better than learning from your own life experience or others.
I think he do such a great job, all his movies are great hits, and I am hoping to see much more films directed by him.

  1. Overall, Tyler Perry films are predictable, contradictory and perpetuate stereotypes. The use of the Madea character should be eliminated. There are only so many times I'd pay to see the same charade repeated with a slightly different soundtrack. He has been widely criticized for his portrayal of black men and the cast selections. Actors with lighter skin are cast in a positive role, whereas darker skinned actors tend to play the villian or evil character. I think it's time for Mr. Perry to evolve and write material that isn't focused on negative topics.

  2. I agree that his films and TV shows do focus on negative topics, but I also see them to be indeed real life situations. I think Madea is hillarious. Some things could be left out of some of his films. I have seen a lot of his movies, and to me they are really good, like I just mentioned, they have all real life situations that do happen to real families and of course, there's always some real drama going on with somebody somewhere. And I agree with the author of this post that there is nothing like learning from your own life's, or even other's experiences.
